If you stick with it for a while, you can get into higher paying departments without any extra effort, and the incentives just get better. There's up to a 35% pay modifier and other incentives which are actually pretty trivial to achieve. As with anything in life, you get what you put in - if you treat it like a shit job with no positive aspects, that's what it will be. If you put some effort into it, you get the bonuses. Making upsells is stupidly easy, some people will buy things even if you try to get them to leave, so making 30 legitimate upsells in a week is so easy a braindead monkey could pull it off. - ($440 + $210) * 1.35 = $877.50 a week - almost doubling the base pay.

It's not like this is rocket science. This is "ahh, your remote doesnt work. Press the buttons, have a nice day. By the way, we've got a special on HBO and it matches other programming you like - wanna give it a try?" Anyone who fails at that is lucky to even be able to read, let alone make $23k a year.

Re: Fortune Valley casino under new ownership

Good luck to the new owners!

Re: Google: $880M impact on Colorado

wow that's a big money!! If your phone service goes out on a weekend and you live in a rural area, century link won't bother with your predicament until business hours on a weekday. They cut staff (bottom line, not customer service) on weekends. Never mind that our area is in a cell tower dead-zone and the need for emergency services is immaterial to this company; one must drive many miles to use a cell phone, and a home can burn, a family member die for lack of ambulance services, a crime can proceed with no intervention. Yes, by all means, utilize this company for internet and other services as they trumpet in their advertisments, just know that their business ethics are zilch, and when it's your turn to need them they'll proffer a businesslike excuse for taking your money and leaving you flat. This pervades any business, from the high-rise corporate offices and their high-powered movers and shakers, right down to the level of "service" where the rubber meets the road. If your company sells a service, what is the quality of the service at the level of the consumer? Here, it's the worst.

Re: Google: $880M impact on Colorado

$880 million!!! I have 19 shares of CenturyLink from some corporate spin-off a while back. When you read the Q&A of the oddlot notice, you find several questions down, towards the end of a paragraph, that you'll be charged 2.25 per share fee. Anyone who uses a discount brokerage online will save money by not participating in the oddlot program to sell the shares. The letter talks about the inconvenience to the small shareholder of owning the oddlot and how this program will help them avoid brokerage fees. Bah. This sounds like a nice way for CenturyLink to make 5% or so off all the small-lot shareholders.

Re: Difference between Qwest and CenturyLink

This is something positive. Many other cities are reporting an increase April 1st 2011, as much as 5% or more. This seems to be a popular amount of increase, but if Comcast is already higher than it’s competition 5% can be a larger increase overall. My employer DISH Network raised prices in February, but they are already lower than most cities Comcast prices, so $5 is less than what some Comcast customers will see for an increase. Honestly if qualified customers get free HD for life and more HD than any other provider the value is already there. I had Comcast a few years ago and it worked fine but I had to cancel eventually because I couldn’t afford to pay that much for TV.

Re: Greg Griffin Sunday story preview

Hello Mr. Griffin.i saw on facebook that you are looking for businesses that have made it through this recession. All you need to do to have a fine article on the subject is to go to lil Lyons,Co.15 miles east of Estes Park. The store owners were not only hit by the 'recession' but Main Street was closed down most of the winter last year(this winter) for major re-development work on the streets and sidewalks. We are slowly inching our way back to profiting, but the pickin's are sparse. Every single business in this community of about 1900 people has been doubly affected, and yet they open their doors every day hoping today will be the day we make some profit. You could get a whole series of articles from talking to the business owners here in Lyons.Just a suggestion, but i think it would make a good story for your paper. If you need more info, call me at 303-823-5114.my name is vance french and i have lived in Lyons for 6 years and it has changed immensly in those 6 years. But we still have the small-town feel about us.We are survivors, but cant hold on much longer. We hope Spring will bring us a ton of tourists and visitors from near-by cities. We never know.So i think Lyons would be a good place to write an article about surviving the down-spin of our country.i enjoy your articles.Keep up the good work!...........vance french, Lyons Colorado]

Re: Comcast launches Fancast Xfinity nationally

I think that Xfinity is on the right track but not all the way there yet. I work for DISH Network and the TV Everywhere product avail there is amazing. I have the ability to watch my TV from my Smartphone, pc, or, laptop. This feature has worked great I went to Mexico for vacation and was able to watch wrestling and all my other shows while I was there. Check out DISH Network for more info on the TV Everywhere solution. Outside of your home.
